BIOGRAPHY

Toby works as a composer, musical director and arranger and is a graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where he studied under composer Errollyn Wallen. He has recently composed the music for a musical 'A Permanent State of Emergencyperformed at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (June 2019). 

 

As a musical director, recent credits have included Villages (The Other Palace) and Essex Goes to the West End (Adelphi Theatre). For a full list of credits, see Musical Direction.

 

Outside of theatre Toby has written a number of classical works including Into the Unknown which was performed as part of the Borough New Music Festival. He has also composed for film, writing the score for Joshua Farrar's short film Ethan Adler's Guide to Homicide. Toby also worked as a pianist for London based choir Eastcastle Chorus from September 2017- February 2018.
